You have been invited to a construction project – here’s what it means

You have received an invitation from a contractor to participate in a project where documentation and compliance are required.

  • This is the platform used to collect and manage all required product and compliance documentation in the project.

Why you have received this invitation

You have been invited because you are involved, or are expected to be involved, in the delivery of products or services to a construction project. Your contractor is responsible for ensuring that all materials and deliverables meet both project requirements and regulatory requirements. To make this manageable, they use Cobuilder Collaborate to:

Collect documentation

From all subcontractors on one structured platform.

Ensure compliance

With project requirements and regulations throughout the project.

Keep everything together

Structured and accessible in one place for all parties.

YOUR ROLE

What is expected of you?

Once registered, you will:

Receive clear documentation requests directly from the project

Upload product information and compliance documentation

Ensure your deliverables meet both project requirements and regulations

Everything is handled in one place, so you avoid scattered emails, manual follow-ups, and unclear requirements.

CONSEQUENCES

Why does this matter?

When documentation is not managed early, it often leads to:

01

Delays

In approvals and deliveries that affect the entire project.

02

Additional follow-up

From the project team, with increased pressure on all parties.

03

Increased pressure

Late in the project, when there is the least time to correct shortcomings.

Everything is handled in one place, so you avoid scattered emails, manual follow-ups, and unclear requirements.

FAQ

Cobuilder Collaborate is a digital platform for collecting and managing product and compliance documentation in construction projects. It connects contractors and subcontractors in one shared workspace, where all requirements, requests, and documents are handled in a structured and traceable way — without back-and-forth emails.

To be able to receive and deliver documentation in the project, registration in Cobuilder Collaborateis required.

This is how your contractor has set up the project to ensure that all requirements are handled collectively and in a structured manner. If you have questions about what applies to your specific project, we recommend contacting your contractor directly.

Yes. As a subcontractor, you need your own Cobuilder license to be able to register and document products in the project. An invitation from the main contractor gives you access to the project, but not a license. Are you unsure which license applies to your project? Contact us at invitations@cobuilder.no and we will help you further.
