Reflecting on 2025: New Solutions and Shared Progress
2025 has been a year of steady progress for Cobuilder, marked by new digital solutions, strengthened partnerships and continued focus on supporting the construction industry with structured, reliable data. At Cobuilder, we remain committed to giving everyone in the construction process the tools and insights they need to work smarter and more efficiently, whether they are contractors, subcontractors, manufacturers or wholesalers. This shared progress has also been supported by important organisational developments, including the appointment of Gustav Line as CEO and strong backing from Corten Capital II, following their majority investment in the previous year.
Below is a glimpse of some of the highlights from 2025, along with many behind-the-scenes improvements and system enhancements aimed at making daily work easier and more effective for our customers.
A Smoother FDV Handover with the New FM Module
Many manufacturers know their products are being used in the market but lack insight into where and how often. They often struggle to understand contractor behaviour, regional differences, project level trends and the real impact their products have on construction workflows. Without this visibility it becomes difficult to forecast demand, prioritise sales efforts or identify new opportunities for growth in the next years.
Even though construction projects move toward digital collaboration platforms the manufacturers behind the products have not always had access to the data that shows how their products perform in practice.
Introducing Supply Analytics: Real Insights from Real Projects
This year we launched Supply Analytics, giving manufacturers a new level of understanding of how their products are used in real construction projects. For the first time, it becomes possible to see product usage across projects, identify patterns and understand reach and engagement in a clear, data-driven way. These insights have traditionally been very difficult to access, and we are excited to make this level of visibility possible for our manufacturers.
With a clearer view of real project activity, manufacturers can better understand engagement patterns, support their contractor partners more effectively and make decisions based on data rather than assumptions.
Supporting Sustainability with Structured Construction Data
Alongside new features and ongoing improvements, we have continued to strengthen how sustainability-related information is handled in construction projects. Sustainability reporting depends on access to reliable, structured data, yet environmental documentation is often collected across many actors and formats, making reporting manual and inconsistent. The Sustainability module in Cobuilder Collaborate supports customers in collecting and managing sustainability-related information in a more structured and efficient way, helping simplify reporting.
Making product data easier to find and use with Supply Marketplace
This year, the Supply Marketplace was launched to make product data easier to find and use in procurement processes. Manufacturers can now present their products with clear, structured information, increasing visibility and improving the chances of being selected in real projects. At the same time, contractors and subcontractors gain easier access to accurate, comparable product details, supported by improved search and filtering that makes product discovery and comparison easier.
CIRPASS-2: From Concept to Practical Discussions on Digital Product Passports
2025 also brought steady progress in the ongoing work around Digital Product Passports in Europe. As part of the CIRPASS-2 project, Cobuilder participated in defining early ideas for how DPP workflows could function in practice. During the recent workshop in Paris, industry representatives, experts and project partners met to discuss possible approaches and share perspectives on what DPP implementation may look like in real construction settings.
Cobuilder contributes to this work with technical expertise and long-standing experience in structured data, helping ensure that discussions reflect both industry needs and practical considerations as the framework continues to evolve.
CPR Digital Product Passport System: Feasibility study for the European Commission
In 2025, Cobuilder, together with Tecnalia and UNE, completed a feasibility study for the European Commission focused on the development and implementation of a Digital Product Passport (DPP) system under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR). The study assessed three options against a set of financial, technical and qualitative KPIs, including cost, scalability and useability.
Cobuilder contributed the study with its long – standing experience in structuring product data and data standardization activities, alongside with the practical software development experience. This combination was particularly important in assessing the feasibility of the options ensuring that the recommendations were based on both regulatory and standardization requirements, and practical implementation aspects.
BuiltBeyond 2025: Powering the shift to DPP in construction
This year’s BuiltBeyond conference brought together professionals from across the construction value chain to explore new regulations, structured data and ongoing digital transformation. The event was fully booked, with 120 participants, reflecting the strong interest in working together toward smarter and more sustainable industry practices.
We were grateful to host high-impact speakers from the European Commission, DiBK, NTNU, Trøndelag County, Bane NOR, JM, Backe, Hæhre, Advansia and many more, who shared valuable perspectives and real project experiences. From hands-on demos to inspiring talks, the day highlighted a shared commitment to practical progress. The conversations and ideas sparked at BuiltBeyond continue to guide our work forward.
Looking Ahead
As we move toward 2026, Cobuilder remains committed to delivering solutions that support collaboration, readiness for evolving regulations and smarter use of structured data across the entire construction value chain. We are also continuing to adopt new, responsible AI technologies that help simplify daily work, reduce manual effort and improve the quality of information our customers rely on.
Together with our partners and clients, we will continue shaping a more transparent, efficient and sustainable built environment, always with the needs of the industry at the center of our work.
