Bluestone PIM and Cobuilder Collaborate to Automate Data Flow in the Construction Industry

Through a strategic partnership between Bluestone PIM and Cobuilder, manufacturers can now automatically distribute their product data to Cobuilder Collaborate.

The integration enables manufacturers to share updated product data directly with Cobuilder’s solutions, ensuring efficient and high-quality information sharing that aligns with new requirements for data management and product documentation.

Streamlining and Simplifying Data Management Across Systems

Bluestone PIM, a provider of product information management (PIM), has developed a system that allows manufacturers to automatically distribute product data across multiple platforms, including Cobuilder. This provides manufacturers with a valuable solution for efficient data management, where they can update product data once in their Bluestone PIM system and have it distributed to Cobuilder solutions, widely used in the construction industry for project management and documentation.

Simplified Product Data Distribution

The partnership between Bluestone PIM and Cobuilder makes it easier for manufacturers to meet requirements for transparent and up-to-date product documentation. With the Cobuilder Supply solution, manufacturers can distribute updated information directly to stakeholders in the value chain who depend on reliable data for their projects. This ensures a precise, unified data source and reduces the risk of misinformation or outdated documents in construction projects.

This automated solution also means they can update and maintain their product information in one place, making the data available across multiple systems, such as Cobuilder Collaborate, a solution used by over 3,000 stakeholders in Norway. They no longer need to manually enter data into multiple systems and can instead focus on higher data quality and efficient processes.

Preparing the Construction Industry for Digital Product Passports

With the EU’s new sustainability requirements, including the introduction of digital product passports, seamless data flow is a critical component for the future of the construction industry. These requirements mean manufacturers must provide environmental and performance data in a machine-readable format that can be used across systems and solutions. This shift requires robust data integration solutions, and the collaboration between Cobuilder and Bluestone PIM lays the foundation for a construction industry better prepared to meet these regulatory demands.

“The integration with Cobuilder is a key step toward ensuring free data flow and efficiency throughout the value chain. Our goal is to contribute to the development of a sustainable and digitally mature construction industry, and this solution provides manufacturers with a simplified way to distribute their product data. This is essential for future requirements for digital product passports and for a more sustainable construction industry,” says Chelsea Warrington at Bluestone PIM.
