How the integration works
The model is already the source of truth for what will be built. With this integration it also carries the documentation for what actually was built — all the way into operations.
How it fits together
- BIM objects are linked to building parts and specific construction products using standardised classifications and identifiers (TFM, GTIN, IFC and ID-based linking)
- Product data and documentation from Cobuilder is attached directly to the relevant objects in the BIM model
- The information is passed on to FM systems, making it available in the tools used to operate the building
- Product data and documentation from the construction phase is reused in operations, instead of being recreated from scratch or lost after handover
