OUR AUTOMATION FUNCTIONALITY ENABLES YOU TO:

MANUFACTURERS

  • Liberate your data and use it across applications;

  • Update the data in one and see all systems get the update;
  • Eliminate the barriers of language through the use of a Common Data Dictionary.
See the Manufacturer Case Study

MERCHANTS

  • Control the quality of the data you provide to the market;
  • Export verified manufacturer’s data to any format and software;
  • Make sure your clients get all the information and documentation they need.

I AM A MANUFACTURER

  • I store information in multiple formats – PDFs, drawings, BIM objects, product data;
  • I have product data and documents in several databases and systems;
  • I want to provide merchants, projects and FM managers with up-to-date product information at any time.
    I want to make sure all projects using my products have received data and documentation they need;
  • I want to suggest the right product data to architects and designers;
  • My clients view and export my information in different software formats and languages.

I can automate data transfer so I can:

  • Structure and query product data and documentation

    The API outputs all product data as well as relevant documentation. For instance, there is a method that allows you to search by the product’s barcode, and the API then returns all documentation for the product. It is also possible to request the API to return all products, or just the documentation available.

  • goBIM allows you to keep control of all your information in real time

    If you perform a single change – i.e. change the information you have about the U-value of a window in your PIM, this will be reflected in the goBIM database in real time. As soon as the information is updated in goBIM, the change is also transferred to other systems and databases connected via the goBIM API. For instance, visitors of your website can see the change immediately. The same happens if you have a new version of your Declaration of Performance appears in your DAM – all systems interested in this information will be automatically updated.

  • The goBIM API allows you to proactively provide information where it is most needed

    The API provides information on which pieces of legally required documentation are missing, and checks which products have essential documentation such as DoP, SDS, BREEAM and EPD documents.
    You can use the API to output data directly to users of your products such as merchants, projects and FM managers. Streamlining communication with these actors enables to supply all construction projects where your products are in use with the right data.

  • The API can be used to feed different software systems with information from your databases

    Data can be structured so it can be exported into various formats – goBIM API has the content ready to be exported into a format of your choice. You can use it to create your own website or feed information into a 3D model via plugins which attach your data to Revit, ArchiCAD or any model of your choice. By doing this, you provide accurate manufacturer information already while the building is being designed.

  • goBIM maps your products and product types to national classification systems and naming conventions

    This way your information can be read by your clients’ systems. Translations can also be called through the API, so in the example above, when data is changed or added in the UK, the French colleagues will be able to automatically be able to use that in their language.

    In a similar way, you can slice your data into the necessary format so you can produce a COBie drop or be sent automatically to an FM system. You can also create your own website or send your product information directly to projects and FM systems.

I AM A MERCHANT

  • My suppliers provide information in multiple formats – PDFs, drawings, BIM objects, product data;
  • I work with a lot of manufacturers and want to be able to send manufacturers’ product information to the supply chain;
  • As a merchant, I want to have control on the quality of data I provide out to the market;
  • I need to provide own and customers’ databases with up-to-date product information at any time. I want to make sure all clients who are buying from me have received product information and documentation they need;
  • My clients view and export my information in different software formats and languages.
