Check IFC against the requirements
Ensuring that your IFC file aligns with the established project requirements is critical. Cobuilder Link makes this validation process straightforward. Here’s how you can check your IFC file against the requirements:
Start with Filtering Requirements:
Begin by navigating to your list of information requirements in Cobuilder Link. If necessary, apply filters to narrow down the requirements that are relevant to the validation. This helps you focus on what’s important for your project at that moment.
Initiate the Validation Process:
Once your requirements are set, go to the IFC dropdown menu and select “Check IFC against requirements.” This will open a side modal.
Upload and Validate:
In the side modal, simply upload your IFC file. Once uploaded, click on the “Check” button to start the validation. Cobuilder Link will automatically compare the required properties and classifications against what’s in the IFC model.
Understand the Results:
Upon completion, an HTML report will be automatically downloaded. This report provides detailed insights, showing which entity in the IFC file passed or failed the validation, and explaining the reasons behind each result.
Next Steps:
Use this information to make necessary adjustments, ensuring your IFC file fully meets the project requirements. This validation process ensures accuracy and helps maintain the integrity of your project’s data.
